Harberton - Timber Frame Conservatory and Veranda

The Brief
We were asked to refurbish a terraced house in Harberton and design and construct a small but tasteful oak framed conservatory and glass roofed veranda.

The Construction Process
Designed to provide a comfortable seating and dining area overlooking the garden. The veranda runs along the side of the house and was made of Douglas Fir with a glass roof.

The Result
Compared to a traditional glass conservatory the timber frame creates a room which is well insulated for the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter making it a room for all seasons which is vital when space is at a premium. We loved the continuation of the roof to form a glass-roofed veranda.
