The T&S Team

Jon
38 years experience

Jon is responsible for the day to day running of projects on site and in the workshop. He initially trained as an apprentice carpenter/joiner in Nottingham, moving to Devon in 1986 and worked as a self-employed carpenter/builder.

Chris Tregelles - T&S Timber Frame Building
35 years experience

Chris is responsible for frame design and customer relations as well as being a hands on timber framer. He has a degree in Agriculture from Reading University but chose to begin his own building business in the South Hams in the early 1980’s.

NVQ2 in Timber Handling

Stanley & Hettie are now fully experienced in Timber Handling. There are still some difficulties distinguishing between timber or shoes with many an evening spent searching the garden for the missing footwear. With Frank (Victoria's dog) now on board Hettie and Stanley have become rather superior although sneaky is probably a better word, they still take the shoes but blame poor Frank!

David Partridge
5 Years

David grew up in the South Hams and joined T&S Timber Frame Buildings straight from college in April 2010.  David has a City and Guilds qualification in Carpentry and has become a very valuable member of the team working primarily on the timber frames in the workshop and on site.

Victoria and Frank
1 Year

Victoria has been around general building and timber framing from birth (her dad is Chris!).  She has a BSc Honours in Animal Conservation Science and has spent the last 2 years with the National Trust as a volunteer, intern and employee.  She also holds qualifications in off road 4x4 driving, brush cutting, chainsawing and level one tree inspection.  She joined the family firm about a year ago and has shown great skill and aptitude - the boys will tell you she is a stickler for health and safety too!  Frank is her one year old collie/springer - Hettie and Stanley now have their very own apprentice!

Tim Hayford
10 Years

Tim has regularly worked with T&S Timber Frame Buildings since 2008.  Tim grew up and went to school in the South Hams and has recently converted a barn incorporating timber framed trusses. Tim is a qualified Chimney Sweep too!

Over 15 years

Nigel  brings a practical and problem solving wealth of experience in manual and project based roles involving carpentry, barn conversions and building work.   He is a lover of Radio 4, Antiques Roadshow, likes a pint and is pretty handy in the kitchen (so says his wife!) We are pleased to welcome Nigel back after a little break to have a new knee fitted - and very fetching it is too!

20 Years plus

Sue looks after the book-keeping and marketing for Jon and Chris.  She is an experienced Event Manager and also carries out Secretarial Temping for other companies.

Jacob has recently joined the team. This is his first experience of working with a bunch of lads and he seems to be holding up very well.  Jacob has an original Mary Qaunt Mini which he loves tinkering with at the weekend.

12 years

We are very pleased to welcome Boxy and Buckley to the team.  They come with a wealth of experience in carpentry; Boxy is qualified in carpentry (NVQ3) and has worked within the industry for 12 years.  He loves to surf and boulder climb, has 2 beautiful girls and is married to the lovely Sally.  Buckley is 12 years old and has 'worked the sites' with Boxy since he was a puppy.  They are a great pair to have around.
