Myrtle Quay, Newton Ferrers. Contemporary timber frame

The brief
We were asked to work as the major sub-contractor to supply and fit a specially designed contemporary timber frame and cladding in a stunning building overlooking the river. The oak frame design included specially designed brackets (flitch plates) in stainless steel to be hidden within the frame.

The Build Process
In order to deliver the specifics of the design, the construction process required very involved and precise setting out of the timber frame. We overcame many obstacles and challenges during the project and were happy with the stunning end product.

The Result
We managed to bring the architect’s creation to life and the clients were delighted with the final look and feel of the project.
