Horsebrook, South Brent

The Brief

To replace a tired and delapidated conservatory with a new oak framed one.

The Build Process

We demolished the old conservatory retaining and adapting the existing dwarf walls including the introduction of insulation.  Due to the shallow pitch of the roof it was done in zinc adding a contempory look to an otherwise traditional construction.

The Resulting Clients Testimonial

I just wanted to send you a 'thank you' for the great job that you and your guys did for us in designing and building our 'garden room'.  In addition I thought I'd precis how the project went from my perspective and offer you the option of using this note to show potential future clients.

As you know at the outset I was concerned about the project and needed guidance.  My wife and I had some ideas but were unsure as to detail.

You both clearly listened to our 'wish list' and helped us with the design including taking us to a previous client so that we could see what the end product would look like; that helped a lot and I would like to offer you the option of bringing future clients to see our extension as part of their decision making.

Once we decided what we wanted you continued to be helpful and keep us informed as the project developed including when things did not go to plan.  I remember with frustration (and a smile) the problems we had with the window supplier.  As a third party supplier of my choice you could have side stepped that issue but instead went out of your way to resolve the issue for me and that gave me great confidence in your attitude to the job.

Although I focus on both of you as you are the main contacts I would like to extend our thanks to your lads, who clearly care about what they are doing.  They are polite and cheery and kept the place reasonably tidy, even returning the coffee mugs!  In particular what I liked was that you made regular checks on their progress and when you did pick up on something their reaction was positive even when you left.  Witnessing that was a good demonstration of both you and your teams attention to detail and the good relationships you have with each other as well as yourselves.

Finally, with the passing of time the wood is behaving exactly as you said it would and we love it more and more.

Please pass on our thanks to all concerned.
